Mechanical Contracting Company

This company was experiencing double digit growth year over year for the past five years.  Ownership was a husband and wife.  She wanted to remove stress from him to avoid a medical event one day and he wanted to remove the responsibilities that he did not enjoy in running the business.  They did not want an extensive marketing experience in speaking with multiple possible buyers.  Through our experience and understanding of the market we interviewed the potential candidates and provided one good cultural match partner.  We had to navigate complexities of AR, WIP due to the growth of the company during the 8-month process; thus, the value we started with had dramatically increased and we achieved in the final two weeks an increase in the offer for those assets.  Additionally, we had sensitive issues with the state licensing process that had to get resolved at the state governmental level to close.
