Business Valuation Services

You’ve Built Something Valuable.
Do You Know What It’s Actually Worth?

Let’s Find Out Together.

One of the first questions every owner we meet asks, “What’s my business worth?”

It’s a hard question. Few answer confidently, often over- or underestimating the value of their company. Both perspectives can create problems when buyers come calling.

A professional business valuation gives you the clear baseline you need to make smart decisions, whether you’re ready to sell tomorrow or just starting to think about it.

TREP Advisors Have Been Where You Are

We’re Always Here with the Answers to Your Questions.

You can come to us for a conversation, for business valuation services, or to stand by you at every step of a sale. We’re ready to help. These are the questions owners in your position are asking about business valuation.

What is my business actually worth?

Valuation is never a fixed number. It’s a range, and it depends on how your business is positioned in the market, who’s buying and when. For lower- and middle-market companies, value is expressed as a multiple of adjusted EBITDA: your normalized Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization. It may vary by industry, size, your growth trajectory and current market conditions. We’ll give you an objective view of where your business lands and why.

How are EBITDA multiple calculated?

Multiples reflect what buyers in your company are paying right now. For example, a software business with recurring revenue might sell at 8-12x EBITDA. A manufacturing company may sell at 4-6x. Healthcare services? Somewhere in between. Our 7.1x average EBITDA reflects the industries we work in and the competitive process we run. We’ll show you what’s realistic for your business, not a number pulled from a generic internet calculator.

What factors affect valuation?

Two businesses with identical annual revenue can end up with very different valuations. Buyers look at revenue quality and customer concentration, EBITDA margin, growth trajectory, management depth and scalability. Understanding which of these fall in your favor and which need attention can be the most valuable output of a valuation conversation. You’ll learn what to focus on before you go to market, whether that’s tomorrow or five years from now.

I’ve received an offer. How do I know if it’s fair?

Without an independent valuation, you’re negotiating blind. Buyers have calculated what your business is worth. A TREP valuation gives you the honest market context you need to evaluate that offer and decide whether to accept it, counter it or use it as the starting point for a competitive process.

Do I need to be ready to sell to get a valuation from TREP?

Not at all. Many owners come to us for a valuation years before they’re ready to sell. They’re hoping to understand where they stand, identify where to improve and make a plan. When you know your number early, you have options. It lets you time your exit strategically, address value gaps before they cost you, and enter any buyer conversation informed.

What’s the difference between a TREP valuation report and someone’s online valuation calculator?

Online calculators are just automated AI. They aren’t about you – your company, your people, financials and customers. A TREP valuation report is a real market read, informed by combining your history, our senior advisor judgment, live comparable transactions and the buyer network we’ve built across 26 closed deals. The goal is an honest baseline, not a number designed to get you to sign on the line.
